Value of Diamond

Diamonds are so precious that all of them are formed hundreds of millions of years ago even before dinosaurs roamed the earth. As the hardest material on earth, the gemstone comes about under extreme heat and pressure beneath the earth’s crust. Mining diamonds is a costly procedure that takes more than 250 tons of mined material to yield a one-carat rough stone, of which only one-fifth is of gem quality.

Since quality directly relates to the value for this gemstone of extreme preciousness and rarity, diamonds with slight defects are prone to losing its symbolic notion of perfection and eternity. Therefore, diamonds should always be purchased with care.

Belgium Diamond House always strives to hold up to its mission to provide customers with professional services. Our in-shop gemologists certified by an authoritative gemological organization (GIA) are always available to offer customers objective diamond analyses with accurate authentication apparatus. Customers are therefore assured of purchasing diamonds that best suit their needs.
